International student may apply for taking courses for a certain major or doing research at USTC as a visiting student. It is suggested that before submitting applications, the applicants ask for advice from our professors in related field or related departments. International student can apply for coming as a General Scholar or a Senior Scholar depending on the level of program/major and applicant's qualification. General Scholar can take courses for a program/major or conduct research at master's level, while Senior Scholar can take courses for a program/major or conduct research at doctoral level. The duration of study/research is 1-2 academic years. A Study Certificate will be awarded if successfully finishes his /her study at USTC. Official transcripts are also available upon request.
