Peking University is a comprehensive university located in Haidian District, Beijing. As one of the founding members of ‘Project 985’, the national government program which seeks to develop an elite tier of world-class universities in China, it is regarded as one of the best universities in China and attracts talented students from around the country and the world.
Its current campus, located in the university district in north-west Beijing, has a total area of 2,743,532 square meters and features a mixture of traditional Chinese architecture and modern facilities surrounded by gardens and waterways.
