3. Graduation​

Editor Notes: After completing all courses and meeting graduation requirements, international students will be awarded MBBS degree.

Students who has completed all the required courses and passed all the examinations will be allowed to graduate. Students who meet the requirement of Degree Awarding Committee will be awarded Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

4. Brief Introduction to China Medical University(CMU)

Editor Notes: CMU is one of the earliest schools that delivered college education of western medicine in China.

China Medical University is located in Shenyang, Liaoning province.

It was one of the earliest schools that delivered college education of western medicine in China. It was founded in November of 1931 with the approval of The Central Military Commission in Ruijin of Jiangxi province which was the birthplace of the Provisional Central Government of the Soviet Republic of China.

CMU has fostered and educated more than 100 thousand senior medical professionals since its founding. Its graduates are all over China and many other countries and regions, many of whom have become senior leaders in national health management and famous medical experts.

5. School Conditions

Library

The school library is very modernized With abundant collection, providing students with a beautiful and comfortable learning environment. At the same time, the public teaching building and teaching building for international students can fully meet the needs of daily teaching.

Laboratory

The University has 643 training rooms with a total area of 35,456 square meters. There are two national experimental teaching demonstration centers, eight provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, three provincial virtual simulation centers, three provincial practice teaching bases and one provincial cross-professional training platform.

Teaching Hospital

The University has 3 affiliated general hospitals and 2 specialized hospitals, with 11,120 open beds and 265 dental comprehensive treatment chairs. The clinical practice of the international students in our university is arranged in the First Hospital of CMU,the Shengjing Hospital of CMU and the Stomatological Hospital of CMU.

In the Fudan version of "2019 China Hospital Rankings" published in 2020, the First Hospital of CMU ranked 17th in the country, and the Shengjing Hospital of CMU ranked 38th. The Hospital of Stomatology was ranked 9th in the rankings for the stomatology speciality.

*1. English proficiency test certificate

For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.

*2. Passport

-A clear, full-color scan of your passport information page, showing your name, passport number, expiration date, and photo.
-Some universities may also require blank visa pages, so you are advised to upload a few blank pages as well.

*3. Photo

-A recent passport-sized ID photo (2 x 2 inches) with a plain white background.
-Full face visible, no headwear (except for religious reasons).
-Taken within the last 6 months.

4. Highest Degree Graduation Certificate

-A formal graduation certificate of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree).
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.

5. Highest Degree Academic Transcripts

-Formal academic transcripts of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree), covering ALL academic years, NOT just the final year.
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.

6. Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate For Chinese Medium Programs

-For Bachelor’s degree programs taught in Chinese, HSK Level 4 or above with a minimum score of 180 is usually required.
-For Master’s degree programs, HSK Level 5 with a score of 180 or above is generally required. A few universities may require HSK Level 6.
-Higher scores and levels are preferred.

7. English Language Proficiency Certificate For English Medium Programs

-IELTS (6.0 or above) or TOEFL iBT (90 or above) is generally preferred.
-If you are unable to provide these test results, you may submit alternative proof, such as a Duolingo English Test score or an official English proficiency certificate issued by your previous school/university, stating that the medium of instruction was English.
-Higher scores are preferred.

8. Non-criminal Record Certificate

-Please note that this document is generally valid for only 6 months(Few may require 3 months). For instance, if you submit your application in March, your non-criminal record must have been issued no earlier than September of the previous year.
-Obtain this certificate from the local police station of your current residence, confirming that you have had no criminal record during the 6 months prior to the date of issuance.
-If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated and notarized by an authorized agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.

9. Physical Examination Form

-Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.
-The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
-Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
-The medical results are valid for 6 months only, and few universities will require the report you did within the past 3 months.
-Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo or contain abnormal examination results will be considered invalid.
-The document must be in English or Chinese.

*10. A Non-objection Transfer Certificate(无异议转学证明)

Issued by your previous Chinese university. This document should include your personal information, academic performance (including attendance), estimated graduation date, and your current university’s approval of your transfer application. It must also contain the university’s contact information (email and phone), issue date, and official stamp.

*11. Passport photo

A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant

*14. Scanned copies of all visa pages (X1, X2, T, or others) and residence permit pages (if applicable)

*15. Senior High school graduate certificate

Students expecting to graduate should provide an official letter stating expected graduation date, and submit the graduation diploma if admitted), which should be the original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English. Indian applicants are required to submit admit cards for 12th grade examination.
Certificate must be translated into Chinese version.
Due to Liaoning Province Government Policy, certificate must be translated into Chinese version.If you only have English version, please contact CUCAS. Graduation certificate must be certified by the Chinese Embassy (Consulate) in your country or notarized by a notary office in China.

*16. Senior High school academic transcript

Academic transcript must be translated into Chinese version.
Due to Liaoning Province Government Policy, academic transcript must be translated into Chinese version.If you only have English version, please contact CUCAS.
Indian applicants are required to submit admit cards for 12th grade examination and NEET result. Transcripts must be certified by the Chinese Embassy (Consulate) in your country or notarized by a notary office in China.

17. A Recommendation Letter From Previous Chinese University

Some universities may also request a recommendation letter from your previous university or other supporting documents.

*18. Notarized Guardian’s Letter of Commitment

-Students under 18 must find a Chinese guardian who resides in the same city as the university you are applying to, and complete the notarization process as guided in our tutorial video.
-Upload a scanned copy of the notarized Guardian’s Letter of Commitment. This document must be certified in your home country and notarized in China.
-Please note that a Notarization of Declaration (声明公证) issued in China is eventually required.
-A scanned copy is acceptable at the initial stage. If the university later requires the original document or additional materials, we will inform you.
-For some universities accept Beijing citizens as guardian, guardian services are available on CUCAS. Learn more here.

*19. Non-criminal Record Certificate

-Obtain a police clearance certificate from the local police station where you currently reside, confirming no criminal record in the past 6 months at the time of application.
-Some universities may require a certificate covering only the past 3 months, in which case the certificate is valid for 3 months only.
-If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated and notarized by an authorized agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.

21. For the current applicants in China, the following documents are also required to submit in addition to the ones mentioned above

(1) residence permit page;
(2) transfer certificate/no objection certificate/graduation certificate;
(3) transcripts from the previous school;
(4) registration form of temporary residence for Visitors from Overseas;
(5) foreigner Physical Examination Form.

*23. Letter of financial support and Bank statement

The name on bank statement must be the same with the name of letter of financial support). Ask for minimum balances is at least 100,000 CNY to be maintained on the financial guarantor's account.

24. Others

For applicants whose age is under 18 and parents are not resident in China, their parents must formally entrust a foreigner or Chinese resident in China as the guardian of the applicants and provide relevant entrusted materials.

-The test covers Chinese (Humanities and STEM Chinese), Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Mathematics is required for all programs, while other subjects depend on the university’s specific requirements.
