Changzhou College of Information Technology

Changzhou College of Information Technology is a national model higher vocational college. It is the first college of information technology in Jiangsu province and has a history of more than 50 years.

The college lies in Changzhou Higher Vocational Education Park, which is a beautiful place full of modern atmosphere and integrates teaching, science and technology research, training, vocational skill appraisal and social service.  The park is located in the south of Changzhou, a city in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta that enjoys developed economy in China.

The college consists of eight schools such as Software School, Network and Communications School, Electronics and Electrical Engineering School, Economic and Trade Management School, Electromechanical Engineering School, School of Foreign Languages, School of Overseas Education and Social Development, School of Arts and Design and School of Continuing Education, and three departments such as Department of Basic Subjects, Department of Social Sciences and Department of P.E.

The college has set up three state-level and six provincial level technically advanced and well-equipped centers which serve as the training bases of high-caliber employees and serves as the high-caliber talent training base of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as the National Software and Information Service Outsourcing Employees Training Base. The college boasts eight state-level key specialties and three provincial specialties of quintessence, seven provincial specialties with characteristics, four provincial key specialty clusters.

The college has constructed 7 state-level excellent courses and the Education Ministry's project of Software Technology Specialty Teaching Resources Database. In recent years, the college has obtained outstanding teaching achievements, and won one first-place state-level awards, two second-place state-level awards, one provincial special award, five first-place and five second-place provincial awards.

The college has set up in-depth cooperative relations with 20 institutions of higher education from 10 countries or regions such as UK, Canada, Australia, South Korea and Taiwan. Now, there are nearly 100 foreign students studying in our college. They are from South Korea, Laos, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. The number of foreign students ranks among the first in Jiangsu higher vocational colleges.
