1. The scholarship is open to all the international students.
2. Qualifications
1) Diligent high-achievers.
2) Chinese-laws-and-school-regulations observers.
3) Upright students who respect teachers and treat classmates as family members.
4) Those who respect Chinese customs and promote friendship between different countries.
5) Those who actively participate in the school's activities.
Note:
The following students are automatically deprived of their rights to win the scholarship:
1) School leavers or students who prolong their length in study.
2) Those who act in breach of the relevant administrative provisions of immigration control of the state.
3) School-regulations-disobeyers who are given a disciplinary warning or more serious warning.
4) Candidates who fail any course in the time of competition for scholarship.
3. Specifications
1) Scholarship winners are the top 10% students, whose annual total scores are examination scores plus the scores for dormitory hygiene condition and class attendance.

2) Specific requirements for prize winners
First prize, 4,000 RMB per year, is given to the top 2% whose average score amounts to 91.
Second prize, 2,000 RMB per year, is given to the top 3%, whose average score amounts to 86. (The top 2% students who fail to win the first prize will, in principle, win the second prize.)
The third prize, 1,000 RMB per year, is given to the top 5%, whose average score amount to 81. (The top 3% students who fail to win the second prize will in principle win the third prize.)
For the scholarship of the second academic year, the first prize winner must pass Band 3 of HSK. From the third year on, all prize winner must pass Band 3 of HSK.
4. Selection Date:
October 20 to November 20 every year
5. Selection Procedures
1) In accordance with school requirements, SIE ranks students on the base of their total scores and sends the qualified candidates to the Dean.
2) The dean assigns a panel of experts to go through all the files and drafts a name-list to a president of the university.
3) In late November every year, university leaders will award the certificate and prize to the scholarship winners.
